Our mineworkers have served our country. They have served it loyally. They have toiled in the most dangerous and challenging working conditions imaginable. We owe them a debt of gratitude and they deserve pension justice Grahame Morris MP
The letter above is from the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Select Committee to the Prime Minister.
I asked the Prime Minister a question about his comments in Mansfield during the General Election about the Mineworkers’ Pension Scheme.
Unfortunately, the question was amended and transferred to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
The following question to the Prime Minister has now been published.
To ask the Prime Minister, whether it remains his policy to make sure that no Mansfield miner, or any other miner signed up to the Mineworkers’ Pension Scheme, is out of pocket; and what his policy is on the surplus sharing arrangements for that Scheme.
