Managing Money Better Service

Do you have high energy bills or fuel debts? Durham County Councils Managing Money Better Service provides free and impartial advice and help to reduce your home energy bills. They can help get a cheaper energy tariff, change energy supply company, write off fuel debts and Warm Homes Discount applications. Grants to replace old gas boilers

Grants are available from the Governments Energy Company Obligation to replace your old wall mounted gas boiler with a new high efficiency boiler. To qualify you need to be a homeowner and have an income less than £30,000 OR be in receipt of a qualifying benefit. Free First Time Central Heating Grants

Grants are available from Durham County Council to install a new gas boiler and central heating. To qualify you need to be a homeowner and have an income less than £30,000 OR be in receipt of a qualifying benefit AND use old electric storage heaters or use solid fuel with no more than one radiator installed.
