Easington MP Grahame Morris called on the Government to scrap Council Tax in favour of a Proportional Property Tax.

Council Tax is broken, with the poorest communities facing the heaviest tax burden.

The Prime Minister chose to focus on Council Tax disparities between Westminster and Camden instead of addressing the tax burden people face in Easington.

We are weeks away from a Tory Council Tax Bombshell, as they cut central funding and pass the cost on to local ratepayers through higher Council Tax bills.

We need real change, not empty words from the government about levelling up and rebuilding Britain, while holding back our communities in the North East, County Durham and Easington constituency.
