Grahame Morris MP Working for Easington
Delighted to speak in a debate on School Building Safety and highlight a local case study.
There is an urgent need to fund education and improve school infrastructure. Education is the most vital public service and crucial to the future success of our communities and economy.
Seaham Trinity Primary School is a striking example of the challenges faced by our education system. Despite being only 15 years old, the school is experiencing rising damp, black mould, and a deteriorating roof. This is unacceptable! We must demand accountability from contractors to ensure they fulfil their responsibilities to taxpayers, staff, and students.
Our schools should be beacons of opportunity, providing students with the best possible environment to achieve their aspirations. It’s time to prioritise education funding and enact legislation that safeguards the public interest.
Let’s work together to create a brighter future for our children!
